If you thought "great miracle" the next John Krasinski-Drew Barrymore romantic drama was not actually called a "miracle", you are forgiven: for a long time, it was Ken Kwapis directed the film actually known as " Everybody Loves Whales. "An appropriate title, really when the trailer for 'miracle' shows, not everyone likes whales - and they spend tons and tons of thick ice in the Arctic to save them. Look ahead. The stars 'miracle' - which also Kristen Bell, Vinessa Shaw, Dermot Mulroney, Ted Danson, Andy Daly, Tim Blake Nelson and Stephen Root - coming in theaters on February 3, just in time to enjoy the crowd pair Barrymore and Krasinski loves so much. As the whales. They all love whales.

Best Coast - "Our Deal"
As we mentioned last week in our Supervideo Sneak Peek,
I was lucky enough to venture over to sunny California to get
immediately overwhelmed by the sheer glut of what we wanted to capture.
What's not to get greedy about? First of all, there were all the sparkly
stars among them: Miranda Cosgrove, Chloë Moretz, Tyler Posey, Alia Shawkat, Donald Glover, and Shailene Woodley...I mean, cellooooo. AND THEN THERE WAS THE FASHION.
The day before the two-day shoot, we descended upon Drew Barrymore's office and rummaged through the racks and racks that the video's stylist Alicia Lombardini had called in. We're talking HEAPS. Leather and denim jackets galore, an eye-popping array of multicolored shoes, piles of glittering jewelry...all to get the cast in the potpourri of throwback eras that Drew gleaned inspiration from. The video treatment included references from West Side Story, Romeo and Juliet, and graf-CLASSIC Style Wars. Of the project, the Barrymore had a great deal of endearingly humble things to say:
“I am the luckiest person...it’s a thrill. You have a dream and a vision, and it’s just in your head until you work with other people. And it really takes this whole team to get the dream realized. Otherwise you are kinda just sitting at home in your house with a lot of dreams [laughs]...
“The style and the look of the video that I really wanted to have come alive was my love of the ‘50s and ‘70s punk rock and hip-hop. You can sort of combine all these genres and tones and bring in lots of different elements and see how they work together.”

The fashion from Best Coast's 'Our Deal' Supervideo
Alicia's inspirations were completely sympatico with Drew's intent:
“It is a mishmash, definitely. But it’s a mishmash of styles that we as a group have really responded to. We’re looking at the '50s, at the Teddy Boy style. We’re looking at early ‘80s hip-hop...but we wanted it to be timeless at the same time.” YUM.

OK, it's such a MAMMOTH COSMIC JOKE that I'm paid money to do this
job sometimes. Like, to where I called my mom JUST to tell her I have a
"business trip" that involves Drew Barrymore
and that I "can't talk right now" because I'm "on location." ANYWAY,
MTV Style's MEGA excited because finally, after many, many moons of
waiting and hand-wringing and NOT BEING ABLE TO DIVULGE IN DETAIL about
our next Supervideo,
it is here. And ain't she a beaut (totally rhetorical question obvs)?
For your eyeballing pleasure, we present the Drew Barrymore-directed
video with Best Coast for "Our Deal." It's like Romeo & Juliet, where the Capulets are this gang called The Night Creepers and the Montagues are The Day Trotters. Holy swoon. Photo: Estevan Oriol

Drew Barrymore was in the film industry since she was 11 months and became known as the daughter of Steven Spielberg classic, ET The Extra-Terrestrial in 1982.
In his teens, Drew went through bouts of alcoholism and drug abuse, and we are in a period of rehabilitation of several, but then when she got older, the child once evolved into a wild good time a great actor.
